Just yesterday I blogged about Kony 2012.  It made me sick.. and still does.  But, do you ever wonder if it's all just a scam to make us mindlessly send them money? HELLO?!  I'm not saying this is a scam but you have to wonder.  After yesterday I noticed everybody getting excited and  into Kony 2012, especially youth.  If no one has realized yet, if you get the youth's mind involved then you'll be set to go... It's been that way since the beginning of time. Not to mention this has been going on for a long LONG time in lots of other country's... It's the world we live in, no matter how much we want to stop it, it's always going to be happening.   Please don't get me wrong,  It's wonderful  that I now know who Joseph Kony is and of course I want him to be arrested. Seriously though, he's hiding now... You can't do much when you're hiding.

Aside from everything I think it's great that they're standing up for something. I'll be out April 20th putting up posters and raising awareness... Maybe not as crazy as my fellow humans, but I will.

I wish I had time to write about this and how much I feel for it. But I have to clean my room, or I will be slaughtered... Kind of like the kids in Africa.

Maverick Allen

I haven't blogged in forever...  My life has been up and down lately (Mostly up's!)
When John and Katherine came to visit last year I found out I was gonna be an aunt!  It wasn't until November (I think:) of last year I got to feel him kick for the first time... and believe me, he kicked HARD :)

While they were here, we got a 3D sonogram and got to see his adorable face!

On February 18th my nephew was born! His name is Maverick Allen. 8lbs 9oz 21 in!

i would just like to take a moment to tell you about my best friend and how much i appreciate him. <3

his name is Mathew, he was born on November 26th 1994...he is the sweetest, has light brown eyes and is the coolest kid i've ever met. (:

our story is boring but some how sweet in it's own nerdy-weird way:

we met when his family came to the beach with my family on our vacation...we knew each other before but never talked. long story short, we started out hating each other.. then tried to impress each other... then we became the best of friends. 4 years later here we are.  we blame our parents, and thank them at the same time. it's taken forever to get to the point we're at now... i was 12 when he told me he was going to marry me, haha. there is still lots of waiting to do, but it's totally worth it!

 i appreciate what he does for me more than anyone could ever imagine... he is the sweetest guy ever.  when i'm sick, he brings me tacobell, when i'm upset, he drops everything to make sure i'm okay, i get random calls during the day asking how i am.. it's safe to say he's obsessed, but i don't mind. (:

i don't know what i'd do without him. it's awesome knowing you have someone there for you, anytime-all the time. someone you can trust with your fears and secrets.. and will laugh at you because of them. 

 it's actually funny when people think since we're homeschooled we get to talk/see each other all the time.. that is NOT the case.  maybe when we were 12 & 13, but not anymore. i'm lucky if i get to see him 2 times a week (once during the week and once at church) and we only talk right before bed to get in details of day and say goodnight... so don't think we're "love sick" get to see each other all the time blahh blah blah. 

 oh and, he is seriously the most ANNOYING person you will EVER come across in life... anyone who personally knows him, KNOWS.  he really does annoy me, all the time... its like this game he likes to play.  which drives me crazy.. but i get over it for the sake of his happpiness (:

 i would be lying if i told you i had a better friend then him. he's like my brother in a non-sick gross kinda way. he's a part of my family, and i'm a part of his. 

 no one can make me as happy as him, he knows me inside and out... he probably knows me better than i know me (which has been proven on occasion).

Mathew and I are growing up together, which is like a fairy tale to me.. how cool is it that i will know my husband for 6-8 years before i marry him?! i'll already know his favorite brand of toothpaste and won't need to ask! i'm gonna know what to and what not-to cook. i'll know how to his wash clothes. i'll know not to tell him anything when he really needs to pee because he'll forget and i'll just have to tell him again! i'll know when i need to go throw away old socks and buy new fluffy extra clean white ones (;

anyway, don't ask me why i wrote this and if any of you comment barf or gross it will be deleted. i mean seriously.. grow up.

I love you, Mathew... and I will marry you one day (:

take everything with a grain of salt.. including facebook

facebook. we're all addicted.. whether you'd like to admit it or not.
 i honestly hate facebook with every bone in my body. haha!  i would admit to being addicted, because no matter how much i want to delete mine, i won't.  the worst part of the whole thing is the drama. he said, she said;  relationships; adult drama.. the list goes on.  i've realized being on facebook just makes you want to give into drama more. i mean, i make mistakes and post drama.. and i never fail to always feel dumb after, lol.  so i've made a decision to not post anything dumb, and you should do the same.
  another dumb part is that it's mind sucking and will take hours out of your day... literally.  that can't be healthy. get up off the computer and make some cookies, or something!
 more dumb things [cons]:
-people post things that aren't meant for facebook, make a blog [like so]
-people add random people to make their # of friends higher [hello stranger danger?]
-peeps comment on stuff that's really none of their business
-^^which leads to; people post too much on facebook. [ever hear of a phone? or a journal?]
-middle school drama. 'nuff said. 
 ..the list goes on.

 facebook is handy though, here are some sweet things [pros]:
-easy communication
-i have contact with my family and friends far away
-i know when events are happening
-you always know what your friends are up to
-easy advice when needed
  ...that list also goes on.

facebook would be such a happier place if people [like myself] didn't post EXACTLY what we felt or were thinking.  seriously, there's some thing you just DON'T say. it's called a filter system. <-- that's my biggest problem. ask anyone that knows me. i'll say exactly what i think about you or a situation, which isn't always the greatest idea. 
anyway,
 www.facebook.com has its goods and bads, but i guess you've got to take it with a grain of salt .

christmas music!

one reason i LOVE this time is because of the music. i mean, how COULD you be upset while listening to christmas music? i actually think it's my favorite part (: haha
